The Machinery Division of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) was established in the year 1992 at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

A part of the US$ 18 billion O.P. Jindal Group, JSPL is a major steel producer in India. Operating out of a sprawling 52,000-square-meter production facility in a 162,000-square-meter campus, the 24,500-MT division manufactures a wide range of machining facilities and boasts of EOT cranes capable of handling single pieces of up to 250 MT. Among the division’s major strengths are its highly skilled manpower and in-house design and engineering facilities equipped with the latest versions of software like AutoCAD, Ansys, Solidworks, PV Elite, Auto Desk Inventor and Helix.

For years this Division has catered to the burgeoning demands of a rapidly growing JSPL. Now, it has acquired both the scale and the capabilities to cater just as efficiently to needs of external customers across the fabrication and machining value chain. The division has ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001, OHSAS: 18001 & ISO: 50001 certifications.

The division has already supplied pressure vessels, headers and heat exchangers to a number of discerning customers and is certified by ASME for manufacturing of equipment in line with U, U2, S, R and NB standards. The pressure vessel shop is certified by IBR and CCoE for manufacturing boilers header and non-cryogenic vessels, respectively. It is also enlisted with Engineers India Limited (EIL) & Projects & Development India Ltd (PDIL) for low temperature carbon steel, carbon steel and stainless steel pressure vessel.

The division manufactures Heavy Duty EOT Cranes and has supplied cranes to major Steel plants of India. This division also manufactures equipment such as Caster Segments, Ladles, Transfer cars, VD tanks etc. for the Steel Industry. Apart from serving the Steel Industry, this division also caters to the needs to Power as well as Cement Industries

The foundry shop has the capacity to manufacture 8-MT single-piece ferrous castings. The division makes almost all grades of steel castings, governed by stringent quality control measures and incorporates all destructive and non-destructive facilities.
